LiRo Announces Creation of New ME&T Business Unit
(New York, NY, October 11, 2016) The LiRo Group is pleased to announce the creation of a new Business Unit for Mechanical, Electrical, & Telecom (ME&T) engineering. "The launch of our ME&T Division realizes another critical component of LiRo's long term strategy to establish a full service professional services firm," states Lu Tormenta, CEO and Vice Chairmen of LiRo. Michael Smith, PE, who has led the MEP Group since 2011, will lead the new unit and is elevated to the position of Vice President / Division Leader. Under his direction, the MEP group has significantly expanded its portfolio of healthcare, public works, and energy design projects. The capabilities of the ME&T Division are extended by the recent acquisition of James, LaSala & Associates (JLA), a leading telecommunications firm.
The key capabilities of the new business unit include Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering; Fire Protection; Telecom; Energy Services; and Lighting design. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is utilized for document coordination and constructability reviews.
