Newbridge Road, Ray Street, and Mallard Road Pump Station Rehabilitation
LiRo provided design, scheduling and construction management for rehabilitation of three existing raw sewage pumping stations. These projects involved both total and partial rehabilitation of operational facilities.
This project required that the existing facilities remain fully operational throughout the entire construction process. In order to accomplish this task, both the design and construction had to be planned in such a way that allowed a phased sequence of work. Since these were three pump and four pump stations, we were able to phase the construction so that only one pump at a time was out of service. After the second pump was removed, the stations were operated using redundant systems (old and new). In addition to replacing all pumps, piping and controls at two of these stations, new superstructures were added to the existing subterrain structures.
