About the Project

LiRo-Hill provided full mechanical, electrical, medical gas, fire alarm, sprinkler, and plumbing design services for a new 10,000 sf Arrhythmia Suite at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York. The project was a complete renovation of existing patient rooms to create the new suite.

Project Challenges & Solutions

The major challenge encountered in this project was the need to keep the hospital operational throughout the duration of construction. LiRo-Hill identified and preemptively solved this problem by working with St. Francis to split the design documents into two distinct construction phases. The phased approach reduced impact on day-to-day hospital operation and established early sequencing expectations.

Outcome

LiRo-Hill designed a new, state-of-the-art facility that incorporates the latest technology to meet the needs of St. Francis Hospital.
