LiRo-Hill was thrilled to participate in the official opening ceremony celebrating the completion of upgrades to Austin Steward Plaza, a pivotal achievement within the transformative “ROC The Riverway” initiative in downtown Rochester along the scenic Genesee River. This newly revitalized waterfront space represents the largest state investment of Phase 1 of the initiative, totaling just over $12 million. Formerly known as Charles Carroll Plaza, Mayor Malik Evans announced the city’s decision to rename it in honor of Austin Steward, an esteemed author and abolitionist who was Rochester’s first prominent Black business owner.
