About the Project

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) tasked LiRo-Hill with performing building assessments at 21 hotel properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, and Westchester as part of an emergency response to COVID-19. The goal of the assessments was to identify if the facilities could provide non-critical and sub-acute level hospital environments. LiRo-Hill mobilized a team of Architects, Engineers, and Construction Managers to survey the sites and deliver assessments within a two-day span in late March 2020. The LiRo-Hill team rapidly assembled information to assess compliance with criteria for patient rooms, support spaces, MEP systems, and room finishes. LiRo-Hill’s GIS team created a custom database to organize checklists, photos, and site notes for each facility as part of a comprehensive deliverable.
